Border Hopper is a compelling exploration of the challenges and absurdities of the U.S. immigration system, told through a unique blend of magical realism and horror. Written by Nico Casavecchia, the film
is inspired by his own experiences during the stressful limbo of green card processing.
We had the privilege of directing the animated sequences, which bring to life the surreal mental journey of the protagonist, Laura.
Combining striking visuals and evocative storytelling, the animation captures her emotional turbulence, enhancing the film’s depth and adding a powerful, dreamlike dimension.
